Workhorse Activation

The Workhorse Activation is $147 and includes professional sharpening for a minimum of three eligible shears, a permanent SAB Workhorse shear selected from available options, SAB-provided return packaging, a prepaid return label, and outbound return shipping.

Activation Window

The Workhorse and complete return-shipping kit are sent first. The customer must place the dull shears in the SAB-provided packaging, attach the enclosed prepaid return label, and have the package scanned by the carrier within 21 days after Workhorse delivery.

Missed Activation Window

If the original 21-day window is missed, SAB may issue a replacement prepaid label for a $15 fee. Each replacement label provides a new 21-day activation window. A maximum of three activation windows may be issued, for a maximum total period of 63 days from the original Workhorse delivery. After that period, the Activation expires and a new Activation purchase is required.

Turnaround

Most eligible shears are serviced and shipped back within 3-7 business days after they arrive at SAB. Shipping transit time in both directions is separate.

Eligible Shears

  • Professional cutting shears.
  • Professional thinning and texturizing shears.
  • Right-handed and left-handed professional shears.
  • Other professional shears specifically approved by SAB.

Items Not Currently Accepted

  • Clipper blades.
  • Household, kitchen, fabric, craft, or general-purpose scissors.
  • Items outside SAB’s current service scope as stated on the website or communicated before service.

Serviceability

Eligibility does not guarantee serviceability. SAB evaluates each shear based on condition, remaining usable material, previous sharpening, corrosion, damage, alignment, and construction. SAB may decline work that cannot be serviced safely or responsibly.

Included Minor Adjustments

When appropriate and reasonably required for normal operation, service may include tension adjustment, bumper replacement, minor alignment correction, minor handle correction, and ride-line restoration. Major repair, replacement parts, or work outside normal sharpening may require separate approval and pricing.

Additional Shears

Additional eligible shears may be added to an Activation at the posted add-on price, currently $49 per shear, unless a different price is shown at checkout.
